Pioneer brand outerwear and protective gear was conceived in Vancouver in 1887 during the Klondike Gold Rush. Pioneer supplied a good portion of the gear that was carried on the backs of prospectors and fortune seekers ascending the Chilkoot Pass to the Yukon gold fields. We now have over 120 years of experience in designing high quality, durable outerwear inspired by the rugged environment of Alaska, the Yukon and British Columbia. Our people are proud to be providing protective gear to growing numbers of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
On December 1, 2009, Pioneer purchased Jarvis Imports and their Storm Master brand. Jarvis has a long history of designing and supplying quality safety work wear going back over 35 years. The two firms officially merged into ‘Pioneer Protective Products Ltd’ on August 1, 2010. The combined companies now have one of the largest and most innovative selections of safety rainwear and work wear products on the Canadian market. Our goal is to provide 98.5% order fill rates by making serious commitments to maintaining strong inventory levels year round. We are committed to serving your needs with quality products, on time delivery and at competitive prices.
